Safety standards in decks

Decks are classified as out door home structures thus are guided by strict guideline. The building standard as prescribed in an area should be followed to the book. If lighting will be included the inspection certificate should gotten. The water supply and drainage should be designed and installed by an expert plumber. Also the structural design should be inspected by a qualified structural engineer.

All the materials used should have passed the necessary tests as the poisonous substances tests to safe guard the user of the deck. Some low quality deck cleaners may react with substance being removed and result to toxic compounds which might affect the person doing the cleaning.

Also the location of the deck should not block entries to important places. As a rule they should never block any emergency ways causing delays in time of danger. Today another rule which has being put in place is that it should allow access by people using wheel chairs. This is to avoid discrimination of those who are physically handicapped.
