Copying Dvds Is Not Always Piracy
I consider myself as a staunch believer of the protection of intellectual property. I say No to piracy. And I think everyone should do the same.
I have been using CDs and DVDs for a long time now, and have a huge collection of both. Most of my data is stored on DVDs. After using DVDs for some time now, I say that dvd copying is not always to promote piracy. A person might copy dvds to take backup of some important data. Or even your kid might want to create a dvd backup of a movie he think is going to be damaged.
To make the task of end users easy so many DVd burning software are available in the market today. I have had the chance to use a few over a few years. I recommend software which supports multiple formats, various operating systems and most importantly, it should be able to burn error free discs.
DVd burning software and writeable discs are a huge industry in its own right. And surely this industry was not developed to promote piracy. Nor is it being sponsored by piracy businesses. It is a genuine industry offering solutions to the huge problem of storage of huge volumes of data. So it is OK to make copies of dvds, but remember, say no to piracy.
