I Donated a Used Dell Computer
Our local women’s shelter put out a plea for help with a list of items they were in need of. I noticed that they needed two computers. I had just bought a used dell for myself and my old computer was just sitting there in a box. I knew that I could donate the old one and possibly raise enough money at work, to buy the second one.
After purchasing the used dell for myself, I knew that it would not take a lot of money to get another one to give to the shelter. I got out my receipt to make sure I would know the exact amount I would need to raise. The used poweredge servers sold through this company were so cheap, that I thought it might only take me a week or so to get the money.
It actually took me two days of walking from office to office explaining what I was raising money for. Some people gave more than others but in the end I was able to buy a used dell for the shelter. It felt great to place that order and make sure they got one of the best used poweredge servers with it also.
