The Hindi literature

The famous Hindi literature books have been translated into Urdu also. The Hindi literature has names like Amrita Preetam, Rajinder Singh Bedi, Minshi Premchand and Krishen Chandra. “meri yaadon ke chinnar”, is one of the wonderful books by Chandra. It’s a sort of his Aap beeti or Khud nnawisht in which he states the memories of his childhood and early teen years.

“Ek Chadar Meli si” is a wonderful and master piece by Bedi. The novel comprises the culture and story of a typical Punjabi family. The Bhabi brings up her young Dewar and treats him like her own kids. Her husband gets killed in some riots; she is compelled to marry Dewar. The story is wonderfully written and stated too. The famous actress Geeta Bali was signed for a film to be made on this novel.

Krishen Chandra is again one of the famous writers of sub-continent. His great works are in Urdu also. Though, Indian poets are not that famous. His books reflect to some extent a lot of traditional and lower middle class Hindu families. The Urdu books are available on whole sale as well as retail prices.

Amrita Preetam is famous for her short stories collections. Ismat Chughtai wrote very boldly on the topics that no woman had the courage to write on. The Urdu art would have been incomplete without her works. The Hindi art doesn’t have as much depth as Urdu one, but has the great works by some Hindi writers too.
